Gorgeous Apartment in Geneva With A Large Rooftop Terrace
A 70 square meter apartment situated at the top of a tall building from the ’50s located in Genova, Italy has been recently renovated by studio Gosplan architects and the changes were extensive. Most notably, the layout changed completely. The living room, kitchen and dining area are now a single open space and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms has been doubled. Other major changes include the addition of a skylight and a new window which bring in more natural light and open the internal areas to the views of the city center, thus improving the connection between indoor and outdoor.
The interior design is a nice blend of contemporary and vintage elements, such as the Corniches featured on the wall or the Ball Clock which adds a playful vibe to the decor. Along these accessories there’s also a pair of armchairs from the ’50s which together with the restored doors add a lot of charm to the apartment. The dining area is defined by a very simple table with rounded edges complemented by a set of DKR metal chairs. A Potence wall lamp placed between the dining area and the living room doubles as a visual separator between these two functions.
