A Modern Concrete House Opens Towards A Beautiful Lagoon
A house with its entire exterior clad in raw, unfinished concrete doesn’t really sound very welcoming but some architects may surprise you. One of them is Luciano Kruk who designed this wonderful residence from Dique Luján, Argentina. It’s called 10 House and it’s part of a gated community which opens up to a beautiful lagoon. The exterior facades and the roof look very similar and make it seem as if the entire house is cast in concrete. In contrast, the interior walls are almost exclusively white and that gives the spaces a fresh and airy vibe. The project was just completed this year.
The internal spaces of this concrete house are organized around a large double-height social area. The kitchen and the TV area are separate spaces but still remain connected to the main social core and feel like a part of the open floor plan. The master bedroom has an en-suite dressing room and wide windows which stretch across the wall to capture the best view of the lagoon. The house also include two other separate bedrooms, a studio used as a working space by the owners and a covered parking area for two cars. All of these areas are complemented by extensive outdoor spaces and a large swimming pool which make it easy to enjoy nature.
