Amazing Teen Girl’s Bedroom Makeover
When little girls grow up so much about them changes. Their personalities, state of mind and being changes. The flowery linen, the pink and yellows colors and those stuffed animals that were soothing have to go as a new person emerges. This teen girl’s bedroom makeover by Jeanne Oliver Designs is absolutely amazing.
Personalize her space.
A teen girl’s bedroom is the only space where she can get away to process her feelings and just be herself with no one watching or judging. She might have grown up to be a singer; might like strumming her guitar, might like an occasional book or two and need space to vent herself onto a diary. Think of the things that make her who she is now: the pop loving, guitar playing rising fashionista whose life has just become more complicated.
Making her bedroom a sanctuary.
Change the painting in her room into a more subdued color. Black or gray are great colors when tempered with the glam of gold and silver which you can pepper on her bed or use on the nightstands. Change her linen too. Get rid of the pink, flowery linen and go monotone. White is great because it offsets the black wall color, accentuates the gold and silver elements and allows you to play with unconventional colors and textures. Keep that old backboard that was used to teach her how to spell as a kid to write daily inspirational messages. Young girls love their clothes so get her a vintage clothing rack to hang her favorite clothing. A teenager needs her make up. Make space for it by getting a makeup trolley. Don’t forget the mirrors, one that is big enough for her to see herself fully standing up and one to see her face better.
Transforming your teenager’s room should be easy. It’s the little details that count and they don’t always have to cost that much. The idea is to create a space that she will love living in.
